Week 39 - A Day Well Spent With Hubby

We were told that I have to walk more for a smooth delivery and to prevent Rachael from feeling too comfy in the womb and refusing to come out. So, after thinking for a while, we decided that aimless window shopping is not fun.

We decided to go to Courts Tampines to collect hubby's free gift of Philips sound system as well as IKEA to get chairs for Chloe and Charis.

Unfortunately, there was no more stock for the free gift and we were told to wait till the end of April. Then we left the car at Courts carpark and walked over to IKEA.

I've always wanted to get the plastic chairs with backing for the girls. The rattan chairs are so not conducive and comfortable for them. Since the main idea of the day was walking, we walked through the whole showroom area before proceeding to the cafe for food and rest. Then we went down to market hall to get the chairs. I think we walked for AT LEAST 1.5 hours.

After that, we went East Coast Food Centre for dinner. It was a day well spent with hubby, though I came back with muscle aches everywhere and I was physically exhausted.

But everything was so worth it when we entered the house and with the girls greeting us excitedly and anticipating to have their chairs. Mum had told them that we were getting chairs for them. They followed us in and out of the kitchen waiting for us to show them the chairs. Hubby wanted to teach them not to take things for granted, so he purposely told them that it was not for them. Then he explained why we got the chairs by asking Chloe to sit on the rattan chair at the blue IKEA table. She knows that it doesn't match the color of the table and we told her that it's too low for her.

Anyway, after explaining, hubby set out to fix the chairs for them. They sat patiently watching him. They became good helpers in clearing the rubbish from the packaging. And in a few minutes, the chairs were ready!

And they happily sat on the chairs and posed for me to take a picture of them.

I hope this small little chair can aid in their learning. That they can have proper seats to sit down and do their work with proper posture. Good habits start from young!

And I must say that, I'm really happy to see them so happy and excited. The simple joy in life is to see your loved ones happy.
